Sérgio Farias de Souza Filho is an Adjunct Professor of Philosophy at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco in Recife. He obtained his PhD in Philosophy from King’s College London. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and at the University of São Paulo. He obtained his MA in Philosophy from the Logic and Metaphysics Graduate Program at UFRJ. He works in Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Language and Metaphysics.

Main research topics: intentionality, naturalistic theories of mental representation, biological function, phenomenal character of sensory experience, and rule following.
