Leonardo Lana de Carvalho is a Psychologist and Associate Professor at the Federal University of Vales do Jequitinhonha and Mucuri, at the Department of Computing / FACET, and a permanent professor in the graduate program in Human Sciences at this same institution.
He holds a postdoctoral internship at University of Paris IV - Sorbonne / CNRS and at the UFU (Institute of Psychology) / FAPEMIG. He holds a PhD in Psychology (Cognitive) from the Université Lumière Lyon II with co-supervision in Computing from Claude Bernard Lyon I University / LIRIS, France.
He was president of the Brazilian Society of Cognitive Science (2022-2024).
His research interests include: Computational Theory of Mind; Formal Languages and Computability; Enactive Cognitive Science; Self-organization; Complex Systems; Computational Modeling of Cognitive Processes; Artificial and Computational Intelligence.
