Felipe Nogueira de Carvalho is an adjunct professor of Philosophy in the Department of Human Sciences at the Federal University of Lavras, and a permanent professor in the Postgraduate Program of Philosophy at the same institution.
He holds a MA and a PhD in Philosophy and Social Sciences from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales/Institut Jean Nicod (Paris, France), a postdoctoral internship at the Center for Mind Cognition at the Ruhr University (Bochum, Germany), and a 3-year postdoctoral residency at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil).
He is the author of “Demonstrative Thought: A Pragmatic View” (De Gruyter, 2016). He is currently interested in emotions and affectivity, investigating their relationships with specific domains such as epistemology, sensory perception, literature, social justice, etc.
CLEA started as a single research group that remains active.
It was founded in May of 2020 with the purpose of uniting researchers from all over the country around related themes and interests.
Despite contemplating a wide spectrum of theoretical positions and inclinations, the group assumes that cognitive, linguistic and affective processes cannot be understood outside the agent’s situated activities in their (physical and social) environment.
The main proposals and activities of the group are 1) to encourage the study, debate and academic production around these themes; and 2) to establish a support and debate group on works in progress and new proposals....
