
Maria Luiza Iennaco is a joint PhD candidate in Philosophy at the University of São Paulo and the University of Porto. She holds a BSc in Psychology from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, a specialist degree in Neuroscience from the Federal University of São Paulo, and an MA in Philosophy from the University of São Paulo.
She was a visiting research fellow in the Department of Philosophy II at Ruhr University Bochum, Germany. She is currently a member of the Active Inference Institute, the Association for the Scientific Study of Consciousness, the Cognitive Science Society, the Philosophy of Neuroscience group at ANPOF, and CLEA.
Her research focuses on the relationship between consciousness and cognitive features within the predictive processing framework. Her interests include neurophysiology, psychophysics, ecological psychology, and interdisciplinary approaches to cognition.
