GEMA (Research Group on the Philosophy of Animal Minds) is a research group dedicated to contemporary philosophical and scientific debates concerning the mental capacities of non-human animals. Our objective is to promote original research in Brazil and stimulate discussion in this rapidly expanding field worldwide.

From 2017 to 2018 he acted as an invited researcher at the Argentinian Society of Philosophical Analysis (SADAF) in Buenos Aires and at the Goethe-University Frankfurt. Doctor in Philosophy from the University of Leipzig. His areas of specialization are Philosophy of Mind and Metaphysics, especially in its application to Social Philosophy, Ethics, and Aesthetics.
