CLEA started as a single research group that remains active.
It was founded in May of 2020 with the purpose of uniting researchers from all over the country around related themes and interests.
Despite contemplating a wide spectrum of theoretical positions and inclinations, the group assumes that cognitive, linguistic and affective processes cannot be understood outside the agent’s situated activities in their (physical and social) environment.
The main proposals and activities of the group are 1) to encourage the study, debate and academic production around these themes; and 2) to establish a support and debate group on works in progress and new proposals.
Philosopher of mind, cognitive sciences and artificial intelligence (AI) mainly interested in foundational issues of cognitive sciences and ethics of AI.
